The biodiversity database, especially images, contributed by researchers
working in the area and the success of the community-conservation project has
fostered an active outreach programme.
This programme caters to school children and teachers, local community members
and trainee forest officers for whom a trip to the Bugun community forest has
become a regular feature.
At the heart of this exercise is an excellent Nature Interpretation Centre
designed and set up by the Forest Department.
The attractive and informative audio-visual displays in Centre is an excellent resource for education and can even be a stand-alone attraction for tourists.
