We think, feel, breathe and see because of the flow of electrical charges across billions of brain cells. Every heartbeat, every breath is driven by electrical impulses. Even vision is electrochemical-rods and cones convert light into electrical signals that our brain interprets. In truth, electricity underlies everything we experience.

We are a research group at IISER Pune, India, exploring the fascinating science at the electrode-electrolyte interface through advanced electrochemical, microscopic and spectroscopic methods. As electrochemists, we firmly believe that electrochemistry shapes life in more ways than we consciously perceive.
