Opportunities to join the Research Team
The research group is opened to accommodate people at different stages depending upon the space availability in the laboratory.
MS/M. Tech Thesis work: IISER Pune students can directly meet me for further discussion to carry our MS thesis work or summer internship. Students from other organization with excellent academic record (top 5 % of your class) and highly motivated to pursue research career in higher studies are encouraged to send resume and a letter of recommendation letter from the HOD of your organization. Please note that minimum 6 months commitment is required. For outstation students hostel accommodation will be provided only depending upon the availability in the campus.
Ph.D. Students: Our research group hires highly motivated master degree students for Ph.D. programme. The selection is done through the common advertisement in the department/institute. The interviews are typically held in June-July or Nov-Dec of a given calendar year. You are requested to follow the institute procedures. National Post-doctoral Fellowship: Ph.D. students who are recently graduated or just submitted thesis are encouraged to apply for post doctoral programme in DST, SERB, DBT or any other funding agencies in India. Only academically strong candidates will be recommended by the institute. You are requested to contact at least two months before the last date of application by the funding agencies. Please note: Independent thinking, excellent writing and communications skills are essential for further consideration.
Industrial collaboration: Our research group is highly dedicated for collaborative research work, consultancy service and sponsored R&D activities. We have state-of-art laboratory and instrumentation facilities to carryout advanced research in the area of polymers and biomaterials.
International Short-term Student visitors/ Ph.D. Students/Post-docs/Visitors: Institute has state-of-art laboratory and accommodation facilities for international students. IISER Pune is very active in establishing international collaboration and encourage for student and visitor exchange programme. Funding for international visitors is highly dependent on the types of sandwich programme between the organizations or funding agencies.
