PROJECT: Slow relaxation in dense active matter suspensions

DESCRIPTION: Brownian suspensions are known to exhibit slow dynamics and disordered glassy state. However, the existence of such a glassy state, and the nature of transition in active systems (that are strongly out of equilibrium) remains an open question. In this project we will investigate and characterize the dynamics, structure and phase behavior of active colloidal suspensions, especially in the dense limit.
