Classification of Algebraic Groups (9-12 March 2009)

IISER, Pune

For more updates please see Classification of Algebraic Groups.

Please see here How to reach IISER Pune .

This is a "meeting" of people working in Algebraic Groups. During these four days we will have lectures by experts. We aim to understand two seminal papers written by the masters of subject one by Borel & Sibenthal and other by Borel & Tits. These two papers are core to understanding Classification of Algebraic Groups over arbitrary field.

We will have plenty of time to discuss Mathematics among ourselves.

Following people have agreed to participate in this meeting.

  1. Prof. M. S. Raghunathan (TIFR, Mumbai)
  2. Prof. D. Prasad (TIFR, Mumbai)
  3. Prof. M Thakur (ISI, Delhi)
  4. Prof. A. Kulshrestha (IISER, Mohali)
  5. Prof. S. M. Garge (IIT, Mumbai)
  6. Prof. E. Wambach (IIT, Mumbai)
  7. Prof. Anandavardhanan (IIT, Mumbai)
  8. Dr. V. Patankar (Microsoft Research, Bangalore)
  9. Mr. Arnab Mitra (TIFR, Mumbai)

Here we don't list local participants.
